U.S. Trout Aquaculture Production, Farm-gate Values and Prices

Estimates of U. S. aquaculture production are based on data (in millions) released by NOAA Fisheries Service. Finfish include baitfish, catfish, salmon, striped bass, tilapia, and trout. The species included under shellfish are clams, crawfish, mussels, oysters, and shrimp. Miscellaneous species include ornamental fish, alligators, algae, aquatic plants, eels, and scallops.

Annual aquaculture data are compiled from the NOAA Fisheries website. Econometric models are estimated to measure the impacts of disasters and economic events on aquaculture production, farmgate values, and imputed farmgate prices.
